Designing This and That

Lately my head is flowing with ideas. To simplify, I have played with Photoshop to came up with some new things.

Here's my new and improved logo, DarkLight Design Mark II. And this time the logo finally can be seen as a 'D' and an 'L'.

Next up, I enters a design contest. It was Dell's design competition (Dell Make It Yours) where they want the contestant to design the lid on one of their laptop; Studio 15. So I give it a try and submit two artwork/design; here and here.

And the last one is as a favor to Naufal. He asks me to draw a sketch of Desasiswa Jaya's new project to improve the hostel. I have some fun coloring it this evening though. :P

Semester V Wrap Up

My Desktop of the Week #12

A couple of weeks ago, I formatted my laptop again. This time I went for full make up of my desktop. As you can see, I still use some of the same software as before and some are new.

And as you also can see below, I finally successfully applying a theme. Usually when applying a theme, I always failed to replace the start button and explorer.exe. After a long search for the answers, I finally did it! Yay me~~

Last but not least, good luck to everybody in their exams (if you didn't finished your papers yet) and for those who is already finished - go home quickly coz I want to enjoy a fast internet connection here... :p

It was a busy month for all students of any university - quizzes, tests, VIVA, projects, you name it. And this update was done just because it was weekend.

As you know, I'm in my third year of study at USM. By the end of next semester I will go for my internship at one of 'chosen' company. Taking advices from my fellow seniors and friends, I decided to make my first ever resume, for applying for internship.

And if you understand me very well, a simple resume won't work for me. So I came up with this with Photoshop.

Important things like my address, IC number has to be blurred to prevent identity theft. LOL.

Of course the picture was changed for fun. My target was it to be simple but stunning resume. What do you think?

On the next post, the exam schedule for Chemical Engineers 3rd year. Wait for it!

I have nothing in mind to post anything in my blog. So here is my desktop of the week.

New applications has been installed. You can see it above (well, some of it).

And last week I being a bit crazy and replaced most of my computer icon. On the left; the music folder, on the right top; my collections of TV series, and the right bottom, my collections of movies. I just replaced the one that has the icon made by someone else. I'm too lazy to make my own.

Breaking Fast Till Breaking Dawn

Well, not really till breaking dawn, but it does sound good. Last night Geng Bas Sekolah is on the roll again. This time it's an invitation/treat from Dr. MHU, breaking fast at some place 'grand'. The only thought that lingers my mind is that we will ~~breakfast~~ break our fast at a hotel, to be more exact, Hotel Seri Malaysia.

We starts our journey quite late, around 6.00 P.M., because Naufal and Saufi has a meeting with the HEPP at 5.15 P.M.. Then we went first to Dr. MHU's house to pick him up. It turns out that we was late and have to switch to a faster car (PHR 224).

My initial guess was the hotel was at Seberang Perai, which was proven wrong when he drove the car to the Penang bridge. Shoot, where the hell is he taking us to? To Bukit Jambul...

After stuck in a several traffic jam, ~~tawaf~~ circling a roundabout, we finally arrived at the place. I was quite shocked and excited at the same time. It was indeed a grand hotel (at least from what I see)- ~~Equestrian~~ Equitorian Hotel.

The parking alone cost RM 5.00. I wonder how much it will cost to eat inside...

The service is good too. Your empty plate wont stay long on the table as they will pick it up for you. Sometimes even if the plate is not empty, they still cleared the table!

We stayed there till 9.45 P.M., filling up our stomach until it cracks. Went back and stop at Dr. MHU's new house (new TV, refrigerator and Astro!) for a sip of hot tea. Arrived at USM around 12 A.M.

The Late Update

It's been a week since I want to post something on my blog but didn't have the will to do so. I've been slacking off almost everyday doing nothing at all. It is safe to say that I already becoming more and more lazier than before.

So last week I had a free dinner at Malam Mutiara Budi. With the guest of honor- the Vice Chancellor and some other important people. Judging from the decorations and the food served, I would say that my school are indeed loaded with money ~~and loath to give it to us, especially the dean.~~ Didn't believe what I just said? Take a look at the pictures I took below.

My table finished up almost 10 jugs of orange juice. And of course it came with a price, I urinated 3 times during the dinner and the other one after that. I have to say that I'm full that night. Here are a few snapshots.

2 Robots, A Buffalo and A Bison

Last weekend Saufi, Naufal & me went to Queensbay. They wanted to buy some clothes there while I have other thing in particular to buy there. So we took off around 11.30 AM. When arrived there, our stomach starts to growl in hunger. After a quick scan around the lower ground floor, we decided to eat at Manhattan Fish Market. We have an appetizer and then move on to the main course- which both are almost the same except for the quantity of the food.

As quoted from Mr. R4Z0RG4D3 , "Just Make sure korang bring a "biiiiiig" appetite ..."And surely enough, our appetite isn't big enough and we failed to finished the whole meal (5% remained uneaten).

After lunch, we walk around to find a shop - RobotMaster. Oh yes, you know what I want... So say no more, presenting GN-007 Arios Gundam.

And I also bought a Destiny Gundam for Naim. I have no picture of the Gundam but this is all I have. The Destiny Gundam was on the bed with an odd pose (of my doing).

He was actually doing the wings for the Gundam.

Ok, enough talk about the Gundam. After that, we went in Jusco to bought some shirt and pant. We even came into contact with Mr. BlueCrystalDude who was also there to buy some shirt for his upcoming industrial training presentation.

Then we stop by Seberang Perai's PC Depot to buy a 500GB hard disk - Buffalo Mini Station since my 320GB hard disk was already full of crap (movies and TV series).

We went back to Parit Buntar to buy another thing. A Bison mini plier for cutting the model kit because the last time I assemble the Gundam, I cut my fingers for several times.

Who says that bison has to be big?

And now I am really really really broke.

New Semester New Things

Hello, everybody!

So it's a new semester. Something stays the same, something changed... Wait. Before I get to that point, let me tell you about the thing that I say that I bought in this post.

It's an 0 Raiser 1/144 model! Finally my first original Gundam model that I ever bought, well, it wasn't really a Gundam but wait, there's more...

0-Raiser

I didn't buy the 0 Raiser alone. So, presenting 00 Gundam (pronounced Double-0 Gundam)! I bought both of them at RM70. Since a friend of mine said that he bought the same model in Queensbay for RM84, I considered myself lucky and without any hesitation, I took it home.

Ah! Back to the new semester.. So on the same day that PTPTN deposited my money for this semester, I quickly took it out like, half of it. All of this because of this following picture.

Yeah. A new phone. I have been eyeing this phone for quite some time, and finally got one. This baby got an 8.1 megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio and Wi-Fi- which all I need in a phone (for now).

I chose this particular model because I always wanted a 7 megapixel (at least) digital camera and a FM radio in my phone. Plus, I always hate to be at a place with Wi-Fi availability and not using it. So, with this phone, it's like a dream came true. No, it's like a dream that becomes a wet dream!

It's the holiday time. So that means I will be stuck at home - being lazy. As the days passed by... I become more and more bored. I've even finished watching Friends for 5 seasons (season 5 to season 9).

So 3 weeks ago, I bought a PlayStation Portable (PSP) from a friend. And I even went back to USM to take some games like Rock Band Unplugged from Naufal. I even finished playing that game.

Again, because of the boredom, I ended up making a new wallpaper...

A Journey to the South?

Its been 3 weeks since my last post and frankly I got a lot of story to tell yet so lazy to post. Also a factor to the laziness is my phone's USB cable can't seems to connect itself to the computer. So no pictures available. But finally I made up my mind to post something in my blog. At least something.

This post maybe longer than I usually write, so bear with me.

Day One
Last weekend I went to KL for the thir--no, second time in my life. (Yeah, I've been to KL only twice, so what?) I went there to "join" the MOHE's (Ministry of Higher Education) Career Fair 2009 at PWTC. I know I'm a bit to early to find a job where myself didn't finished studying. Heck, I didn't even have a good CGPA.

I went there because I was invited by my fellow juniors to look out for the company related to engineering field for USM's very own Career Fair next year.

So the bus departs at 8 o'clock in a Friday morning, heading to the Main Campus in (Main Island) Penang. It took us about an hour and a half to get there whereas it usually only takes 45 minutes because of the morning's traffic jam on the bridge.

Then when we arrived, only 8 peoples were there. ...Huh, that was a waste of gas... It was a 40+ seat bus and only 20 peoples are in it. Wow... being an APEX university must really paying off.

We stopped at a couple R&R, first Bukit Gantang Selatan for some "relief" and a quick breakfast. Then we stopped at Tapah for lunch and prayer. We even stumble upon a group of FRU hanging out at the R&R. I said to myself, "What the hell are these guys came from?" Are there some upcoming riot in progress somewhere? Eventually I get over them and went donut-shopping at Dunkin' Donuts.

Some time about 3.45 P.M we arrived at PWTC. I know, why came straight here first, not the hotel. Well, I've been wondering the same. So we decided to go scout the area.

Apperently, the place that the bus cleary has drop us in front of PWTC. But strangely, we have to make our way into the place that I wish I didn't want to go into EVER- we have to go inside the UMNO headquarters, and walk past the Klang River, I think-- well at least I still address it as a river, I overheard someone talking to the phone and telling the person on the other line that he is at a pool--then address it as a lake.

Never imagine a human from or about to go to a career fair to say those dumb word. Did he never see a lake or a pool before? Or at least know how it look like?

That dumb dude aside, we went there and found out that applicant can register and upload their resume online and the resumes submitted will be send to all of the company's database automatically. Now that's what I call a brilliant system.

Even visitors like us have to take a visitor sticker. So we went inside and I felt that this is just as crowded as the PC Fair. So we walks around and pick up pamphlets that related to engineering.

The bus pick us up at 5 P.M and we're off to find our place to spend the night.

The problems hits us right about now. We wonders around Bangsar looking for our lodging. The worst part is the bus. It's a bad idea to use a bus to find your way here. Moreover, the lodging itself- Wisma Belia, seems to be invinsible to plain sight. The bus driver was asking around and came up empty.

It took us about 2 hours to find our lodgings. By the time we arrived there it's already 7 P.M. And yes, the so called 5 star hotel promised turns out to be a cheap-1 star-hotel-like lodging. Damn it. We got a room at 7th floor which need us to use the elevator.

The elevator is the other thing- it's so small and scary! You can feel a soft wind blowing on top of you. No, it was not an air conditioner, it was the air in the elevator shaft! Plus the stopping mechanism of the elevator feels like it might break any time soon!

Around 8.30 P.M, we went to Mid Valley Megamall to have some fun. But first we headed to the food court on the top floor to grab some dinner. After buying my food, i went in line for a drink and was told by the person in front of me that the drink stall is closing. Shit. What the hell man? It's only 9.50 P.M! After finished eating, I have to go to a fastfood restaurant to buy a soft drink. How suck is that? I feel like I'm at Parit Buntar all along.

We went back to our lodging at 11 P.M. When we arrived at our floor, we were shocked that the floor was flooded by water--that came from the toilet. Luckily, the floor in front of my room was a bit elevated thus the water didn't make it through into my room.

Then I went to sleep.

Day Two
I woke up at 6 A.M at went straight to the bathroom. I later realized that I was the only one and nobody was awake yet. So I quickly take a bath and went back to my room since the hallway itself feels kinda creepy at that time.

At 7 P.M we head down to have breakfast and learned that we will be checking out some time around 9.30 P.M--which was different that what we have been told before-- it was supposed to be 3 days and 2 nights. But actually i feel kinda relieved that it was only a night here. All the terrible experience I have here make me want to go back to USM quickly.

Today the plan was to go hangout at Times Square-- since we feel that the pamphlet we collected yesterday was adequate enough. The bus driver refused to drop us at Jalan Imbi, so we set off to Times Square using LRT from The Mall.

The bus driver already told us to gather back at PWTC at 2 P.M. which only gives us 4 hours. Minus the time taken to get there, we only have roughly 2 hours. And it definely bums us out.

So Naufal and I went to LowYat Plaza instead. We walk around and window shopping. and went back to have lunch at The Mall--which later I changed my mind because of something.

At 2 P.M. as promised the bus arrived and picked us up. Then somewhat the bus took us back to Times Square to spend some time there before going back to USM. Shit, that was unexpected. So we waste another 3 hours there.

During that time, I stumble upon a shop. A shop that will always attracts me to go in and check it out what's inside. I ended up spending RM70 at that shop-- buying something that I like-- which I will tell later in the next post.

At 5 P.M. we headed home and arrived around 12 A.M.

p.s.: Actually there are many more events happened. I just don't feel like writing it. And it will totally end up like I was writing a short novel.

Semester IV Wrap Up

My fourth semester here at USM is officially ended. It was a busiest semester so far for me. Meetings, class, more meetings... So here are some things that I've done or happened during the semester.

2. Went to Pikom PC Fair at PISA (Penang International Sports Arena). Bought a mouse, a 4GB thumbdrive, and a wireless headphone.

10. New 320GB hard disk which is now in full capacity.
11. New jacket.
12. Made 2 posters for 2 annual dinner.
13. Discovered Taylor Swift. She's on fire!
14. Made a logo for my works.
15. Designed 2 T-shirt for EE school.
16. And I wish to go on and on but it will much longer post...

My Desktop of the Week #9

It's been awhile since my last post about my desktop because it's already becoming a 'must-do' post for me if I have any new visual style for my vista or a new wallpaper being made. So here is it- my new desktop look for this week. I made the wallpaper myself and following a tutorial from the web. I even tweak the tutorial to make it more perfect to go with my logo. And it does turn out good.

The red wallpaper is a special wallpaper, the JabbaWockeeZ Project. Made by yours truly.

During this exam week I've been feeling weird. While other people struggling to revise their studies, I on the other hand been sitting around watching movies, or even do nothing or anything actually except studying. It seems strange and I admit that I am not a genius or something like that. This feeling have made me come to this particular moment, where after two papers have passed- I did regret that I didn't make any effort to study at all. I messed up my Engineers in Society paper and wrecked the hell out of my Mathematical Method for Chemical Engineering paper. And still I have this feeling. Up until now I'm still not touched a single note, even just to look at it, except during the night before the paper. I'm in a deep shit, am I?

Exam is Upon Us...Again

Thank god all of my quizes, tests, and presentation is over. Now I can finally take a break from all of the busy life at USM. In the next couple of week the final will start, which brings us to the part where everybody will facing their beloved lecture notes and text books, and not the internet.

So, here is my souvenir for my fellow 2nd year chemical engineers. Exam schedule for the upcoming final exam. Pardon me if there are no foreign language exam included (because of the limited space- and yeah, I know my logo take almost a third of it, so what?) and the design is too simple and quite dull.

I'm currently testing a new web browser - Google Chrome. So far it perform magically fine- beautiful interface, great loading speed, etc. I think I'm in love with it... I will be using it for a week or two then I will decide whether I will continue using it or not.

It's The Final Design

So after some time thinking, I finally came up with this logo. And yeah, I know its kinda lame and boring, but it is better than nothing. Making the DL logo based from my sketch to Photoshop/Illustrator is harder than I thought it would. First I use Illustrator-failed, I use Photoshop- failed again. And after several more failures, I use both and succeeded. Yay~!

Words flying around that I might get a deal designing Prestige (annual book/magazine for Desasiswa Jaya) Ver.2, Should I take it? Oh, FYI, I'm also the co-creator and the co-designer for this year first edition of Prestige.

This upcoming week I will be very busy with tests, quizzes, and presentations so expect less post from me. Wish me luck!

Good Logo Design for Good Business

Lately I've been doing a lot of thinking- since I'm now starting to charge when doing designing work, I need to came up with a good logo. A logo that represent my so-called design business. With empty head I started to make some logos and end up with a terrible designs. Now, I need my fellow friends and my blog readers (if I do have any), I need your advice to make a simple yet awesome logo for my "company". And yeah, here are some designs that I've done so far.

One more thing, my laptop is now making its first record- I haven't shut it down for a straight 33 days 22 hours and few minutes! Impressive but I found a melted rubber band behind my laptop- showing that keeping your laptop on day and night will generate heat- a lot of heat... I'm just glad that my laptop doesn't go kaput!

And fyi, currently I am busy with my studies so expect less not more post from me. :P

Horror movie anyone?

Honestly speaking I'm not a big fan of horror/ scary movies. My first experience watching horror movie (Ju-on 2) in the cinema was clearly a bad idea. Very bad. I became paranoia, always checking under the bed, and hoping nothing's there. The paranoid continued for a month and from that time, I always tried to avoid to watch any horror movies, especially in the cinema...And what the hell am I telling everybody about this? Shit.

OK. Putting the fear aside, last week while having dinner with my friends, we talks about the upcoming Chemical Night. More specifically, about what to do to fill the tentative for the night. I've heard rumours that the 1st year is going to do choir with strange selection of songs. Ah! I'm not supposed to say more, but you get the picture.

So we came up with this crazy idea: a short horror movie for the night. The plan was to...aaa... no, no.... spoilers are not allowed.. Let's just say that the movie is to 'entertain' all the people during the night. Thus last night we went to the set and starts to shoot the movie. Yes, the production of the movie is still underway, so I can't say what will happen next.

The shooting went quite smoothly despite the rainy night and a busybody security guard. And I must say, there's only a little scary (actually I didn't feel anything) shooting horror movie. Maybe I will be if the end product is superb, huh?

Back from the set and having nothing to do, I started to work on the poster. The first try ended up to a plain-not-a-thing poster. But, today because my laboratory experiment doesn't take too much time (30 minutes only), I went back to my room and finished the poster. And here is the end result:

Anyway, if you wanted to watch this (short) movie, make sure you be at USM Main Hall, 12 March (oh yeah, only for Chemical Engineering Student). And one more thing to take note, don't put your expectations up high to see this movie during the night, cause it might not be shown due to the producers busyness. Maybe next year. :P

Two Posters for Two Nights

So here is the new poster for the upcoming Chemical Night. Changed the background because the theme for the night has changed. Some of you may already seen this on the notice board at your block or at the school itself.

As you can see at my shoutbox, Mr. Rourke contacted me for another job. It's for the Civil Night poster. Here is the finished design. And it is actually a bit better than Chemical Night poster :P.

And yeah, both looks a like somehow. And...and...I didn't get paid for it (T-T) Wuwuwwu... Maybe next time I need to state that my work must be paid or something, should I?

My Desktop of the Week #8

Up until now, I have been very busy. But I manage to squeeze some time to post. So, here is my new desktop look (actually I have been using it for about 3 weeks or so). As usual, I'm using new theme but lately Vista themes are getting sucks, hardly I find a visual styles that I like. The Rocketdock icons are made by myself because it goes nicely with the desktop background (Leather & Carbon Fiber).

And yes, if you noticed, my laptop uptime is already reaching 11 days 7 hours. I hate to turn off my laptop if I want to go somewhere else, and that's what you get. Actually its not even a record. My personal record is actually 15 days but it was not recorded/print screened, thus no evidence.

By the way, the trailer for Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen is out! If you in USM Transkrian, you can find the trailer on some of the USM sharer's page and if not, you can easily find it in Youtube. New transformers that I can tell when watching the trailers are Arcee (A superbike) and Devastator (A construction vehicle, but rumors has it that its only a part of Devastator).

EE T-shirt Design

After finished the ORKEET T-shirt Designing job, another job pops out. And this time, it's the School of Electrical&Electronic Engineering Student Society (a.k.a. SEE) wants me to design for their tee. Honestly speaking, I'm still in my 'no-idea' state...

I have finished some of the designs before, but all of them have some fatal flaw- the language I was using on the design is Bahasa Malaysia and didn't include Mechatronic as well. So I have to redo all design and manage to came up with two extra designs. If you want to take a look at the designs, please go here.

And when finishing up this post, I found out that the fourth design have been chosen. The amazing thing is both design3 and design4 was done in just a couple of hours. Today. Hmm~~~ Next job, finishing the poster for Chemical Night. And thankfully I have something in my mind already...

It's been awhile since my last post. Well I've got a lot of work to do. I mean really busy. Wo hen mang! (Practicing my Mandarin)

15th Chemical Anniversary: What I Did That Day?

Last Saturday all of the Chemical pupils gathered in the Main Hall (DU) whether they like it or not - to celebrate the 15th Chemical Anniversary. They also invited some primary and secondary school kids and even the native (orang asli) students. Palapes, some of representatives from SEE, MPDJ and MPDL are also invited.

But invited especially from Perak is Tuanku Zara Salim, as the honourable guest at the morning, (she's actually a chemical engineer) with someone called Datuk Syahbandar or Orang Kaya something like that. But damn, she looks better tha her picture shown on the main screen.

All of them look like they wanna start a riot- but actually they just wanna take a closer look at Tuanku Zara Salim.

She visited Prof. Rahman's booth first. This is the best picture of her.

All in all, she just basically came here for the opening ceremony, a little visit to some of the booth, then eat. Then she left.

So, forget about that. Now, at the Main Hall's foyer, there is a wishing tree. All you have to do is (supposedly) write a wish for the future generation or something like that. But instead, all you see is -"I want USD$10,000,000!", "I want to get married soon", and some more silly stuff that you can think of. Hey, I even write "I want a Bugatti Veyron". No harm in wishing that, right?

That's the card that you have to write your wishes on, a lot of shapes and colours!

So, to encourage more poeple to write, they offer a lot of gift- as you can see on the picture above- two design pen with about 3 different colour or small cube chocolate. There is also a special gift which is a Ferrero Rocher! But all I saw is, all of the Ferrero Rocher was taken by the committee members and staff. On average, a box of it will be emptied in 30 seconds or less! The morning event finished around afternoon with lunch served for free to all.

As for the evening, I've been assigned to be the fasilitator for the primary school kids. And I don't like it at first, but it's get better. For primary school, the activities prepared for them are -a 550 pieces of rounded jigsaw puzzle, a fake Jenga, simple quizzes, and some tour to our school.

Some fasilitator even suprised me. For example this one, he actually enjoys to talk to them even though there is another activities awaits the kids.

The group were a combination of two school, normal primary kids and the native primary kids. No, I didn't mean to categorized them, but the natives is a bit slow. And when playing Jenga, I saw that the 'normal' kids conquers the game and didn't even bother to share it with them. Well, kids can be kids (I was gonna say 'jerk'). After I intervened, only then they got a chance to play along. Around 5.30 P.M. the events ended and I went back to my room tired... And even until now, I even feel sleepy...zzz..... (-_-)

I think it's supposed to stand for 'Orientasi Kejuruteraan Elektrik & Elektronik' or something like that. A lot of brainstorming for the design and to be honest, I'm kinda suck at it. And of course the chosen design is not displayed here. Client privileged. :p Some suggestion to improve my designs is totally welcomed.

Today's the election day in the campus, and the truth is, I hate to go to my school just to vote. Darn it. Why they have it so damn hard?? I just want to have a good-extra-morning sleep because there's no class until 2 P.M.

As promised, my IronMan HUD interface upgrade version is completed at last. It took me a lot of time to finish this. Please do comment on it, 'coz I wanted to improve it until it is perfect.

And of course, new theme...

Plus, I am now the proud owner of Adobe Illustrator CS3. Although it takes time to learn how things works in it, it does paid me very well. The picture below is my first try to make a design using Illustrator with the help of Photoshop. Turns out it is handy after all...

Although it looks very nice, it's just because I followed the tutorials downloaded in the internet. Hehehe...

2 Days, 2 'Man's, 2 Hundred ++ of Loss Money

First of all, I would like to wish a warm welcome from a month (more or less) of holidays for the USM students. Welcome back to eats up more crap in this university and vomit it all out on the finals again- as Pak Abu says.

The last friday, my friend and I went for a movie. Although my money was in a small amount for a decent fun, I still go for it.

We decided to watch Yes Man- starring the funny Jim Carrey and the cute Zooey Deschanel. It's a story of a man that always says 'NO' to everything in his life. His have a dull life because of the 'NO' until he decided to attend a seminar- "YES! Is the new NO". The movie was pretty dull in the beginning but gets better in the middle when he started to say YES to everything in his life. He say yes just about everything- to enlarged his penis, date a persian chick, help a homeless poeple, even blowjob by an old woman- but everything leads to good thing. And if he say no, bad thing starts to fall on him. I like to go on about the story but I hate giving spoilers to you.

The next day, I get the news that money is on the bank (PTPTN). Oh yeah, party time! Without any hesitation, I took out RM200++ to buy a new hard disk- sweet 320GB HD. Hahaha~~~

Then I drag my friends to watch a movie again. This time- 'IP Man' (pronounced 'Yip Man', say it in Mandarin!- Not 'men' but 'man') starring action actor Donnie Yen. This movie is based on a true story of a martial art sensei- Bruce Lee's sensei. This movie serves us with stunning fight scene -a lot of it- and we just can't get enough of it!

I even stumble upon my uncle in the parking lot. And ends up in the same cinema hall watching Ip Man. I just wish he kept it a secret from my parents. If they found out, I'll be doomed~~~

How was Your Holiday?

It's been almost 3 weeks in my holiday and nothing interesting happened.

Everyday it's like a scheduled life... So boring... Didn't trust me? Let's go through what I did in a day.

7.00 A.M.- Sleeping~~~
2.00 P.M.- Wake up a moment, Zohor prayer.
2.15 P.M.- Feeling sleepy again. Continues to sleep.
5.00 P.M.- Enough sleep I think. Time to get up- take a shower, Asar prayer- the whole shebangs.
5.30 P.M.- Feeling hungry, eat my very late lunch (or should I say dinner?).
6.00 P.M.- Finding today's newspaper. Scan through the papers and only read something interesting.
7.30 P.M.- Maghrib prayer.
8.00 P.M.- Turns on the laptop. Either watch some movies or series, listen to some tunes, playing games or spending time with Photoshop.
9.00 P.M.- Stop awhile. Isyak prayer.
9.15 P.M.- Continue what I done earlier. And the time goes...
6.00 A.M.- Before going to sleep, Subuh prayer.

And the cycle goes on and on... If I'm lucky, some of my friends will call me to hangout at Nasi Kandar Nasmir. Well, atleast they have Wi-Fi.

Damn it! I've been living in a dull life. I wish I had a G5 (a private plane if you didn't know), then I can fly everywhere I wanted.

Just finished my last paper today and baby, we're gonna party tonight. But, if you asked me about the papers... err... Ok. Here's a quick review on what happened.

First paper, Mass Transfer- It's very **Cough**. If something like this continues...

Second paper, Fluid Flow- Why this is happening?! **Cough Badly**

Third paper, Energy Balance- Wow! It's look damn eas--**Cough Blood**

Fourth paper, Academic English- I think I can handle this... **Raising eyebrow** Err... maybe.

Final paper, Biotechnology for Engineers- Walauwei~~~ It's something good insid-- **Vomit blood** x_x

So, that sums up on what's going on in this two weeks of exam.

Trivia: On the last day of the final, the most interesting happened!

#1: Record breaking- about 20-30 pupils of chemical engineering went to the toilet during the exam!

#2: Personal record breaking- Muhammad Syahmi for 3 times "attending" the toilet. Followed by Naim (2 times)

p.s.: Is there some hidden notes in the toilet?

The Craziest Thing I've Ever Done Before Exam #2

Ok... It's not that crazy and to be honest, it's kinda reasonable. The day after finishing our third paper, (EKC214: Energy Balance) we decided to go to Bukit Panchor for some refreshing picnic and swimming.

So everyone "promised' to gather at 9 a.m.. I even set my alarm at 7.45 a.m., afraid that I'm gonna be late.

The day come and when I woke up at 7.45 a.m., there's only 3 of 6 of us is awake (Check my Yahoo Messenger). So I said to myself, "It still to early, maybe." I took a bath and get myself ready.

Then I checked again. No. Nothing changed. So I wait, wait,and wait some more.

Until 10.30 a.m. I've waited, at last they awake. We head to the promised land at 11 a.m..

And when we got there, I was getting all excited. And was disappointed to see the river...

Uhh... What the hell is this?! Is this a pool or a river?!

So after some thinking, we changed our plans. We headed to other place called Batu Hampar.

The place wasn't so bad. But one thing I hate the most is to get to the best spot, we have to climbed very up high (not very high), eventually the road is getting steep and we've decided to stop and choose this place.

No, he's not dancing.

This is where we choose to swim! It look more dangerous in real life. :P

We swim, swim, and jump a bit, then swim again until all of us are exhausted. At about 1.30 p.m. we head back.

If you are wondering where is our photos when we were swimming... Yes, we took some picture (actually a lot), but it's...

Let's just say that they all were half naked. And just leave it that way, ok?

The Craziest Thing I've Ever Done Before Exam

Yup, it's examination week and tomorrow (today) suppose to be my first paper. Yet, USM is having blackout for 8 'long and hot' hours, so me and my friends decided to go to our friends house at Penang. Our intention was purely to find a cold and comfy place to study for the paper (Yup, I'm not lying!). But yes, who didn't think about the sweet stuff that my friend have in her home... it's a... wait... Rewind <<.

Let's start the story on 2nd of November... We all aware of the blackout, and it's clearly said that it'll be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. So around 9.30 a.m., we were messagging each other to get ready. But Saufi says that it would be to early to go. Here is some (ok, all) of our conversation...

X Freemen: wake up!!!!
X Freemen: hah
X Freemen: there you are
X Freemen: hurry up and get ready

Oh, I should mention here, he's the one who's waking up late.

Saufi: are we on?
Me: of coz
Saufi: the electricity looks fine to me..
Me: just wait la
Me: they probably already at the grid line

Me: do you want to wait until the blackout?
Me: then we'll roll out
Saufi: ok2
Saufi: wait up, i'll take a bath
Me: hurry

After awhile...

X Freemen: ready yet?
Saufi: what's the rush?
Saufi: wait until the electricity's gone.
Me: hmm
Me: ok2
Me: let's just put it this way
Me: blackout
Me: everybody gather at cafe
Me: ok?
Saufi: if the blackout at 1 p.m.
Me: there
Me: then?
Saufi: that's perfect..
Me: ok2
Me: 10.50 a.m. or blackout
Me: which one comes first
Me: we go
Me: how 'bout that?
Saufi: that's it
Me: ok

By the time we was chatting, it was already 10.30 a.m. and still no blackout. So we wait until which came first; the blackout or 10.50 a.m.. Then when 10.50 a.m come, miracles happens. Both of our call came at the same time! I felt like a wizard somehow... Ahhahaha...

So we begin our journey to the promised land...

Then Naufal stumble upon this billboard- which happens we got a friend named Bob and also a smoker. Ahahaha~~~ :D

Everything was fine before Zohor prayer. All of us studied with not a lot of interuptions (most of it from Naim).

This is happen when you are in exam week.

And this is the main reason for us to be there! Nyahahaha~~~ It's Playstation 2!!!

And our main dish for this is Guitar Hero III. Hehehe... my skill are getting better! Then we play D.O.N. (which stands for Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto) [Picture above is us playing it] and Bleach (I chose Kenpachi whoa!! The game even got BanKai!)

And yes, after Asar, I spend most of my time playing those games rather than study. Actually I already ecpect this is going to happen (more like I planned to). So I play and play until Maghrib.

At 8 p.m. we head back to our boring life at USM... Continue to study..study...and more study... Errghh~~~

And today was my first paper and yes, the consequenses of too much playing around were paid well. I spend most of the time staring at the ceiling hoping the answers written there. Aaa~~~ I'm doomed~~~!!! Kampei~~~!!

My desktop of the week. New theme, new wallpaper and new rocketdock icon! I really like those icon, it's simple and sleek and it have 500++ more icons like these. The wallpaper, I made it myself after watching some tutorials. And the font I use for "Dark.//Light" is the same font as Prison Break's font.

It's nothing much difference from the last theme since the maker is the same.

Around 4.15 p.m. today when I was surfing the web and all of a sudden, Pak Abu send me a messege.

Pak Abu: wei
Pak Abu: did u get naufal's message?
Me: heh
Me: what message?
Pak Abu: he said...
Pak Abu: wait

Then he forwarded me the text message. The message says:

"Urgent. If your friends phone's off, please tell them. Dr Mashitah Just called me and babble about some of us who didn't submit the term paper.I know most of us is already handed over the paper and some send it to Dr Hekarl . But she said that she didn't get it. Please go to our school to find your term paper. Some of the name are- F***, Naim, J********,E*****,O* **** ****,A*****,L** *** ***,F******,S******, S*** ****,T** *** *** AND MANY MORE! So, get to the school to check whether your paper is there or not. If not, you'll fail the subject."

Pak Abu: get it?
Pak Abu: my message
Me: yup
Pak Abu: so?
Pak Abu: wanna go?
Pak Abu: fail, man
Pak Abu: I'm scared
Me: my name there

After checking with my group, I still can't get an answer. So I went there to check it myself. And yes, a lot of us are there too.

A piece of evidence: 10+ of shoes/slippers.

Dr Mashitah is getting confused with the situation+all of us crammed in her room at a time. :P

After checking my group's term paper is there (an I even get to know our marks for the paper- 9/10, yippie~~!!), I hang out for some time to see what happen next.

So thing are starting to get worst. Dr Hekarl was actually on vacation/on work (I don't know which one) at Bali/Hyattyai (Still don't know which). And he didn't reply any of Dr Mashitah's message. At least 25 people's marks are depends on his hand now or else...there is no tomorrow.

So Dr Mashitah's personal assistant try to call Dr Hekarl and get through. So he told that he is on his way to his office. Phew! Most of us feel a bit relieved.

Then everybody rushed to his office to get their term paper. Arriving at his office, with his innocent face he says, "I don't have your papers."

Hah!! Everybody shocked. Then Mr. L** K** P** storms in his files to look for the term paper. "Sir, the papers are here.." he said. "Oh?" Dr Hekarl said. "OK, take it," he continues with no sign of guilt in his face (apparently he didn't even look where the papers are).

All of the take the papers and went back to Dr Mashitah's office to hand it over. Although at first,-the miscommunication between Dr Mashitah and Dr Hekarl that made it is does seems like a crisis, but it's nothing happens actually... And I just wasted an hour or so to solve a problem that is not there. Aiii....

The NeverEnding Debt?

If you're thinking that I'm in some kind of in debt with "Ah Long", no it's not. This post might be a bit offensive to some people (if they are reading), so I'll try to be discreet.

It's about a certain events that have been made into "national level" that was held about couple of months ago. Yes, some of you might know it, and some doesn't. If you don't, please don't try to mind so much about it. My advise is- watch and take note.

I've heard many of my friends about this particular event have so many problem... Before, while, after and even up until now this event still came up with new kind of problems (Or should I say this in bahasa- "Rumah dah siap, tapi pahat masih berbunyi").

The "before" problem is that the original lineup of people who supposed to handle this events. The "project leader", failed to show any progress in his/her paperwork, and wasted a hell lot of time. After the "higher-ups" fired this "project leader", he/she then find someone else that is capable to handle such a big event... Then the new "project leader" (bidan terjun) gasping for help as the time closing in to the deadline.

"While" the event was held, came a new problem where some of the contestants didn't satisfied on the judging skill (or should I say the judge itself). This problem caused the event to be postponed because of the unprofessional-ism and ignorance of this particular "group".

"After" the event finished, came new problems- the particular "group" spread their mislead knowledge to their friends (and making a big fuss about it), some other show the mistakes and social behaviour that the organizer make (not a direct approach, but still ok), and the "higher-ups" questioning on how the organizer handle the event.

And so it happened. I thought this issue was already in the past until today I overheard my friends discussing about this. The problem arises "now" is that the organizer up until now still have a lot of unpaid debt. The judges, foods and sound system are some of the unsettled things.

Wow! I mean it's already 2 months over, but the payment haven't being done. FYI, the payment doesn't involved hundred bucks, ok? It's thousands of ringgit of unpaid debt we are talking here! I still remember statement made by one of the "higher-ups" promised to the organizer that this matter will be solved by their side.

But unfortunately, until today, the account in this event still doesn't change. I think it's about RM 12 000 of sweet money still doesn't show up in the account. Where the hell did it go? It's a large sum of money to vanished just like that. Hmm... I leave it to you readers to ponder about it.

Now many of my friends (the organizer) are getting calls- "Where's our money?". They told me that they don't have anything to do with the events anymore. It's up to the "higher-ups" to answer the question now, I think.

p.s.: I'm just a medium to show the problem, don't put all tha blame on me. And most importantly, I just gonna watch it from behind and see what will happen... :P

The F***ing Fogging

It's been a hell of a week. The first fogging-to fire drill-and another fogging. Yes, I can understand the first fogging is because there have been a couple cases of dengue fever in the campus. But do you really need to do it twice a in week?? Don't you know that you're ruining my evening??

The second fogging came out nowhere without any notice, just a sound of hailer... and all of a sudden.. they are already starts to fog! One of my friends quote,

First fogging can kill the mosquitoes, but the second fogging can kill both mosquitoes and humans.

The chaos fog is at the bottom; white in color. The top- darker- is actually smoke from nearby factory. Don't get it all mixed up!

Then we have to wait for 45 minutes at the cafe for the fog to disappear (not all). And when I got back, the floor was slippery (and smells). Even in the room! They got into my room and made the floor slippery (again smells and something weird about it, it's "undescribeable"). That is just NICE! VERY NICE!!!

This is my new artwork. It took me the whole day to finish this (actually it's only about 10 hours). I started this in the evening (drawing phase) and the long coloring phase in the night until now (It's 2.30 a.m.).

This is actually my first run after reading tutorials on how to color artwork in the web. It very confusing (a little but very-very confusing if you are a beginner). So, whaddya think? Comments and suggestion are welcome!!!

The Damn Fire Drill

Last night when i was planning to go to sleep early (coz I got test in the next day). Then all of the sudden... Kkrrrriiiinggg~~~~ It wails... Darn it! I wanna go to sleep. Why, why, why?

I didn't have no choice but take my butt, go down and gather like everyone else. On the way to the gathering place, I saw some of things that you would wish to do if there is a fire drill- Get the hell out and hang out at mamak stall until it's over- Well, think again. The place was guarded tightly by the security guard and they won't let you go anywhere else except the gathering place. Taking the car is easier to pass them? NO! They stop you and make you park back your vehicles. Ahahaha... I'm glad that I'm not one of the guys who get scolded by the guards... Even people from other Desa, they have to join it whether they like it or not...

All of us are being told what to do against our will...

The fire drill starts around 12.30 a.m. After 30 minutes or so (actually more) the alarm seems didn't want to stop at all. It's very annoying! If the alarm have mouth, it will probably say "I'm tired of ringing for to long, you know!"

After hearing some babble from the 'you-know-who', then starts the second part, Burn and Extinguish. So... bla..bla..bla...

One of the volunteers who tries to pu put the fire. From here it seems like a bonfire... Yippie Hulaa~~~

Around 1.15 a.m. or so... It ends and everybody went back to their room with no knowledge gained or no idea of what was happened (the ones who already asleep and sleepwalking when the time of gathering) Hey, I also saw Mr. Sally and R4Z0rG4D3... Ahahaha... I see you but you don't see me...

The Funny Dinnertime Story

Last night my friends and I went for dinner at a place called Tomyam B****** (I refused to share the name because it’s a special place and don’t want to many people there). Like I said, when we arrived, there’s nobody there (of course the workers are there, I meant customers!) and we ordered. I ordered my one and only menu each time that I’ve went for dinner- Nasi Goreng Daging Merah + Telur Dadar + Watermelon Juice. But one of my friend, Ain is very fuzzy about her order, (hey, don’t blame me) and it took awhile to finish. While waiting for the food, we had a little conversation (OK, you know what? Ain is there, it wasn’t a little)…

The conversation started when we discussed about one of our course mates, Christine that loves daydreaming. Here is some of the conversation…

Naim: There is nothing wrong about daydreaming…

Naufal: Hey, she’s not only daydreaming, she kinda image it- like where she gonna get married and stuff.

Naim: That’s what we called planning the future… I think I’ll do the same. Why not I just wait for someone to propose me after the graduation?

Ain: Yeah. Why don’t you post an ad in the newspaper about that?

Saufi: Wait, you can do it on your own blog… Why not?

Me: Hah! You can put the title- ‘Handsome Man Looking for Wife’. Add some more descriptions, what kinda girl do you want?

All of us laugh. Then I add some more...

Me: Hey, why don’t you sell yourself on E-Bay?

Big laugh fills the restaurant. I’m glad that when we did that there is only one couple with their little baby (and again, the workers). Ain started to take photos of Naim. And sent me the picture… What did I do with that? Hey, I meant what I said. So this is it…

After that, (oh, did I forget something? Ain is riding her motorcycle with Wani. The four of us take Naufal’s car) while on the car, Naim again thinking about what would be the topics he want to discuss in his blog. Out of nowhere he started to ask us riddles.

Naim: What cow did everyone is looking for?

Naufal: Umm… Aaa… no idea.

Me: I know this one, lemme answer it.

Naim: If you know, you should keep quiet.

Me: Hey, you never asked me the question before, lemme answer it! Aah~~ the answer is simple, it’s the missing cow!

Naim: Dammit! Hurmm… OK, other riddle- what kind of horse that have only two legs?

Saufi: That is easy! It’s ‘kuda kepang’!

Me: Yup, that’s it. It’s ‘kuda kepang’.

Naufal: Naim, I think you should post this on your blog- all the riddles- and let the readers answers it. There, you have something now.

Me: Geh! All of the riddles are stupid one. Why don’t give this riddle- who in our school is the laziest of all?

Naim: Damn you! (In case you didn’t know, yes, he is the laziest :P)

Naufal: Wait, wait! Don’t just answer it like that! This is interesting! I choose letter ‘A’!

Me: Wheels of Fortune, ey? Lemme continue that- Oh, there are 3 ‘A’s.

Naufal: Yeah! Again, again- I choose letter ‘Z’!

Me: Hey, don’t you forgetting something? Spin the wheel first! And don’t forget to say –“Saya putar, Halim!” (If you even watch Roda Impian, you will know).

Naufal: Oh yeah! Saya putar, Halim! - Ah! RM500! – I choose letter ‘Z’!

Me: Aah… Unfortunely, there is no ‘Z’ at all…!

Naufal: OK, Saufi, it’s your turn!

Naim: Cut it out!

Again, we laugh very hard until Naufal started to laugh like Syahmi- a well-known boy in our school that laugh like a horse. (Not kidding!) Then we continue our laughing at Naufal. It's a very unlucky day for Naim...

The day when I decided not to wear my sweater...

Just when I decided not to wear a sweater as usual (because I'm wearing a new shirt, haha...) to go watch Max Payne... Guess what happen?

It's raining. How NICE. Still the objective is not changed, we went to Sunway Carnival Mall and arrived around 10.30 p.m. After acquired the tickets... (The screening was at 12.10 a.m.) The movie is rated 18PL so the ticket has stamping says "18++, Strictly for above 18 years old only". That actually my first ticket that have stamping and rating like that. All of those years watching movie, all that was rated U... huhu...

At the counter i've noticed this flyers. So I took one. It's a funny looking warning from Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs... I mean, c'mon...do you think that the person guarding the entry post and inside the cinema is like that? Hah! I only saw skinny boys that "run-to-mommy" type when they get smack on the head...

So, if anybody want to do that, make sure you have the real stuff... The pirates won't be afraid to beat any of the skinny boys... Oo pleasee...

The mall is already empty at 11.00 p.m. Not a soul in the level below (except Security guard and the ghost that chasing them)...Then, we decided to waste our time at the arcade.

Yup...what you saw is N*** rempit-ing in a game. Not in real life. He's not that good and might even get killed...

"It's never too late for me to play this!, Go, my tractor~~~!" said N***** with a lot of passion. After that everybody at the arcade looks at him with skeptical eyes... I've already told you not to ride that... Now look what happened...!

Now let's get back to the movie Max Payne. Honestly, I kinda have high expectation to the movie as the game Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall Off Max Payne was seriously a full of shooting and Bullet-Time (Slow motion shooting like what you see in The Matrix). It was huge disappointment when it's lack of both. The cast features Ludacris as Lt. Jim Bravura from Internal Affair. Jim in the game is supposed to be Max's superior and he's a bit old (Not 60 years old kinda old) .

Then for Mona Sax they chose Mila Kunis, the girl that plays as Jackie in That 70's Show. She is cute, but seriously, why her? She doesn't even have a bad-girl face! She's too cute to be in this movie!

Bullet-Time is the heart of the game, but unfortunely it was only two or three bullet-time in the movie. The picture above was the best bullet-time in the movie (since the others just a short bullet-time). Geh! What the hell? I need more bullet-time action!

This part is the loudest of all (It's a warning for those who wanted to watch the movie). It's so loud like you watch an airplane took off in close range...

Still they featured some of the familiar names to the gamers whi have played the game like: the drugs-V/Valkyr, Max's ex-coworker- Alex, Max's enemy- Jack Lupino, the company that invented V- Aeris. My personal rating for this movie: 5/10.
